Community

Jorum is only as good as the community of people using and contributing to it – and that's where you come in!

On this page you can find out more about using Jorum and its resources, and engaging with other community members.

Making the most of Jorum

From featured resources giving you a taster of the materials in Jorum, to podcasts and case studies, we can support you as a new Jorum user, and provide you with ideas to refresh your teaching - and inspire you to share the materials you create!

Do you have a story to tell about your own reuse of Jorum materials, or how you are promoting Jorum, or organising training in your institution? We will be gathering case studies, which can be submitted with a simple template. Email Nicola Siminson for further information.

Engaging with Jorum

The wider Jorum community includes staff involved in teaching, providing learning and IT support, managing library resources and more, and you can get involved with a whole network of people who are creating and sharing learning resources in a variety of ways.

The Jorum Community Bay is a space to find out more about all aspects of sharing, reusing and repurposing learning and teaching materials, from testing tools, to exploring learning design and copyright issues - and we warmly invite you to share your own knowledge, tips and ideas. The Community Bay also contains discussion forums on a range of topics, and we encourage you to contribute to any of these debates, so that we can learn from each other. This is now available at http://community.jorum.ac.uk.

Events ranging from training workshops to conference sessions and exhibitions are another way of engaging with the Jorum team. Details of forthcoming events, as well as reports on past events, will be posted on the Events web page.

You can also keep in touch with Jorum developments and related issues by joining the JORUM-UPDATE discussion list, or signing up to the Jorum News RSS feed.
