The objective of the NWCE was to encourage North West Colleges to share teaching and learning resources online and to re-cycle resources using Jorum. The project developed a culture of sharing amongst different educational institutions and encouraged the transfer of digital assets to the wider community. JISC have funded 19 projects to develop, run and quality assure technology enhanced courses developed with reused and repurposed learning materials sourced externally to their institution. More details about the intended outcomes of these projects can be found on the JISC website. All of the resources produced by RePRODUCE projects will be made available in Jorum. The theme of the day was 'openness' and provided a timely opportunity for the Jorum team to debate and contribute to the discussion on open access repositories.
